Overview

Mirmozha is the political and ceremonial heart of Lagadagr, built directly into the massive Yggdrasil tree at the island’s center. The city serves as the seat of the High King/Chief and hosts the Festival of Blades every three years - a tournament where leadership is determined through combat.

The structure consists of a large longhouse built into the tree trunk with a coliseum arena in the upper branches. During festivals, hundreds of citizens gather to witness challenges for kingship. The architecture seamlessly integrates with the living tree, with roots, branches, and wood forming natural chambers and passages.

For six years, Mirmozha was the seat of King Iler Ruthgar’s tyrannical rule. His death at the hands of the party during the Festival of Blades marks a new era under Cara’s leadership, restoring hope to the island.

Mysteries & Secrets

Eric Valorin’s Freezing

The Central Mystery: What caused Eric to freeze in this exact coliseum six years ago?

Evidence:

  • Same location as current Festival
  • Eric was skilled warrior, shouldn’t have frozen
  • “Saw a ghost” or “searched for something in crowd”
  • Cara witnessed everything with perfect falcon vision
  • Uric believes “witchcraft” involved
  • Iler killed Eric during this vulnerable moment

Theories:

  • Curse affecting the coliseum itself
  • Devil Fruit power from someone in crowd
  • Mental manipulation or hypnosis
  • Spiritual attack
  • Something Eric saw in specific location
  • Connection to Iler’s powers (he had Swamp Logia even then?)

Investigation:

  • Cara knows what she saw (hasn’t fully shared)
  • Coliseum may hold clues
  • Iler’s note may explain
  • Other witnesses from crowd

  • May reveal Iler’s motivations or connections

The Fake Devil Fruits

Discovery: Fruit in Flynn’s bag turned to mush when Iler died

Questions:

  • How did Iler create fake devil fruits?
  • Were they made from his Swamp Logia powers?
  • Did barbarian warriors consume these fakes?
  • Were they mind control or just placebo?
  • Are more fake fruits in longhouse?
  • Did Iler learn technique from someone else?
  • Connection to Kalpa’s golden apples?

”The Evil in the Land”

Sensed by Llewyn: During dockside meditation at Hamar, felt “will of something evil”

Questions:

  • Was it Iler’s presence from Mirmozha?
  • Is evil still present now that Iler is dead?
  • Separate threat lurking in Yggdrasil tree?
  • Connected to Eric’s death curse?
  • Lingering spiritual corruption?

Status: Iler dead but Llewyn’s warning suggests deeper threat

The Coliseum’s Dark History

Evidence: Site of two significant deaths

Questions:

  • Is coliseum cursed or haunted?
  • Does something in tree affect combatants?
