Session 7 Recap: The Siren Conspiracy

Opening Situation
The party is at Genesis 31 Stadium investigating the disappearance of Nera from the idol group SYRN. Tonight, the Backdoor Boys will perform as the opening act, and Nora may join SYRN as Nera’s replacement.
Gluthoric had a plan to restrain Manager Abigail before the show, believing she’s connected to whatever supernatural event happens during concerts (fans leaving “super depressed”). After some timeline confusion, he decided to wait until closer to showtime.
Investigating Nera’s Room
The party searched Nera’s dressing room with help from Rin (the friendly idol):
- Heart-shaped bed with eagle feathers - extremely comfortable
- Wardrobe contained the same outfit 10 times
- Under the bed: Rotting wood and seaweed - signs of water damage or something aquatic
- Behind a poster: Hidden fan mail - a heartfelt letter thanking Nera for her music: “When I was alone, when I was hungry, your songs made me feel like not everything was lost.”
- Eerie presence - someone felt like they were being watched
Mr. Squawks continued his beef with Ronan the dog.
The Butler & Zone of Truth
A well-dressed butler appeared carrying a metal tray with soda. When confronted, he cowered in fear.
Sylen (Jackson) cast Zone of Truth on the area to interrogate suspects:
- The party questioned Manager Abigail and the three idols (Sora, Yumi, Rin)
- They asked about Nera’s disappearance
- The Zone lasted about 10 minutes before expiring
The Concert Ambush
During the performance, the party spotted flying stingray creatures descending from the clouds - with a man riding one of them.
Attack on the Idols
- A stingray swooped down and attempted to snatch Yumi off-script mid-performance
- A second stingray carrying another figure dove toward Silas
- Llewyn opened fire, shooting the stingray and triggering combat
The Enemy Revealed
Gilbert Gruel, leader of the New Fishman Pirates, landed on stage and approached Silas.
He proclaimed: “You thought you could save my heart!”
